Your site, with a window into another.

urZONE Mirror shows another website (or a page of your own site) inside a framed window on any page. Visitors can click links, fill in forms and stay logged in, all without leaving your page.

There are two plugins. You can use either one, or both at the same time.

Free vs Pro at a glance

The Free column describes the original free plugin. If you have updated it yourself, it may have more.

Installing

Free

1. Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, or place the plugin files in the plugins folder.
2. Activate it. The urZONE Mirror menu appears.

Pro

1. Upload urzone-mirror-pro.php as its own plugin (a folder named urzone-mirror-pro with the file inside also works).
2. Do not paste it over the free plugin’s files.
3. Activate it. The urZONE Mirror Pro menu appears.

Using both together: this is safe. They use different names and different shortcodes, so they do not clash. If you only want one, you can deactivate the other.

Making a mirror window

Step 1: Create the shortcode

1. Open urZONE Mirror (Free) or urZONE Mirror Pro (Pro) in the admin menu.
2. In Create shortcodes, type the address of the site or page you want to show.
3. Pro also lets you pick a subsite of your network from a drop-down.
4. Add a window title if you like (and a height in Pro).
5. Press Generate & Save.

Step 2: Put it on a page

1. Press Copy next to your shortcode in the saved list.
2. Edit the page where you want the window and paste the shortcode into it.
3. Update the page and view it.

Without a shortcode on a page, no window shows on that page. The plugin does nothing on its own.

Pro design (Pro only)

In urZONE Mirror Pro, scroll to Pro design. A small preview updates as you change things. Press Save design when you are happy. The design applies to every Pro window, so you do not need to change the shortcodes.

Colours Pick colours for the banner, borders, window background, the four round buttons, the menu, an accent colour, and the header and footer.

Font

• Type a Google font name (for example Poppins), or
• Upload a .woff2, .woff, .ttf or .otf file in Media and paste its link.
• If both are filled in, your own file is used.
• The font applies to the window bar, menu, header and footer. The mirrored website keeps its own fonts.

Hover mega menu Write your menu as plain lines:

• A line starting with # starts a new column.
• Other lines are Name | link.
• Use /activity/ for pages on the mirrored site, or a full https:// address.
• Leave it empty for no menu.
• Visitors hover over the Menu button (or tap it on a phone) to open it. Clicking a link opens that page inside the window.

Header and footer Type plain text or simple HTML (bold, links, images). Scripts and styles are removed for safety.

Start open or closed In Default window state, choose whether windows load right away or wait until clicked. A closed window loads nothing until the visitor clicks it, which keeps pages fast. A single shortcode can override the default with open="yes" or open="no".

Reset Reset to default look clears your colours, font, menu, header and footer.

Moving from Free to Pro

1. Install and activate Pro (see section 2).
2. Pro keeps its own saved list, so shortcodes saved in Free do not appear there. Create them again in the Pro generator.
3. On each page, change [urzone_clone ...] to [urzone_clone_pro ...]. Keep the same url and title.
4. Check each page, then deactivate Free if you no longer need it.

If you deactivate Free while pages still use [urzone_clone], those pages show the raw shortcode text. Change them first.

Troubleshooting

Good to know

• Pro and Free save their data separately.
• The Pro design is saved once for the whole site.
• Only site administrators can create or delete shortcodes.
• Take a backup before changing plugins on a live site.
